I hope you are doing well.
I
am part of a team that works on NASA funded project whose goal is to assess the state-of-the-practice and advantages / disadvantages of Model-based Software Engineering and Auto-generated code. Part of the assessment will be based on an
online survey.
I would appreciate if you could participate in the survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mbsweandagc) and distribute
the call for participation given below among
colleagues from academia and industry who have experience in this area.
Thanks a lot for your help. With my best personal regards,
Katerina

Call for participation in an online survey on Model-based Software Engineering and Auto-generated Code
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Model-Based Software Engineering (MBSwE) and the use of Auto-Generated Code (AGC) for safety-critical applications have become more and more
popular. Typical areas include aerospace, automotive, nuclear, military, and many others. MBSwE with automated code generation is often considered to produce “code with fewer bugs and much faster”.
A research team from West Virginia University, NASA Ames Research Center, and NASA Independent Verification and Validation Facility is evaluating
the experiences in the use of MBSwE/AGC at NASA and other relevant industry. Part of the evaluation is an online survey that assesses the current state-of-practice, advantages and disadvantages, V&V practices, and certification issues for safety-critical systems
that use MBSwE and/or execute code that is generated from models.
The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mbsweandagc.
The
research team would appreciate if you could participate in the survey before March 31st, 2016. Completing the survey is expected to take about 30 minutes. All responses are anonymous, unless you specifically choose to provide personal information and your
email address. At completion, the report will be sent to respondents who provide their email addresses during the survey or request the report by sending an e-mail to SurveyMBSwEandAGC@xxxxxxxxx.
Please forward this call for participation to your colleagues with experience in this topic.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the research team. Thank you in advance for participating in the survey.
