The intention was to allow repository providers to reuse our sync viewer.
However, the API was never reviewed so it is all considered
internal/experimental. If you are interested in using it, we would like to
discuss your requirements (once we've shipped 2.0).

Could someone explain what is the intended use of this package? Is it there
just as a convenience for repository providers in case they want to use it
or is it something else?
