Re: [platform-vcm-dev] Repository Providers: Show off your provider!
|
Hello,
I am developing an Eclipse plugin for Stellation. It is not currently
publicly available, but the URL mentioned below has a fair amount of
information. Here is a brief description:
"The IBM Research Stellation project focuses on programming environments that
support collaborative, distributed software development. Stellation currently
supports project-oriented SCM with a number of novel features. Long-term
research goals include work on fine granularity (e.g. method-size source
fragments), dynamic program organization and distributed hierarchichal
repository replication. More information is available at
<http://domino.research.ibm.com/synedra/synedra.nsf>."
Best regards,
Jim

Hello all,
As you know, one of the strengths of Eclipse will be the set of
repositories that Eclipse will work against. Thus as part of growing the
community, we feel it important that:
- for end users, they know that work is going on to support their
repository
- for those who want to work on a provider, know that work is already
underway
and whether they can help
To facilitate both these needs, we are going to host a page on
www.eclipse.org to promote those providers planned or underway. We know
there is tons of good work underway on new providers, but as yet this work
has had low visibility. It's now time to change that!
Therefore we would like you, the repository provider writer, to furnish us
with a brief description (one or two sentences) of the work. The
description, which we may edit, should indicate who it comes from (i.e.
company or open source project or individual) and the Repository type/brand
it works with. It should also include an URL we can link to.
For an example of the sort of thing we want to put together, see
http://www.eclipse.org/community/main.html#UsedInEclipse.
Please send your information directly to this list.
Thanking you,
Kevin McGuire/the Team team
