Re: [platform-ui-dev] Working sets on a workbench window

Isn't the purpose of this API to change multiple views' working sets simultaneously? And to define a workbench-wide working set? For example, I could simultaneously change the working set for the package explorer, problems, synchronize, search, call hierarchy, and maybe even functions like java editor's CTRL+T, which might perform better if the scope was restricted to a working set.

Yes.  For instance, the package explorer currently has a menu item to
select the visible working sets (when you're in the working set
mode).  With this new API, you could simply show all working sets
that are of the java type and listen for changes so that you can
update your tree appropriately.
