Thanks for the link to your document mate, that's what I was looking for.

With the ui.map information from Douglas I was able to follow your guide 
and check out the right tagged version of the code I was after and all 
worked fine.

(FYI - even though I was after the ui.ide packages - I checked out the 
CVS HEAD versions of the debug.core and debug.ui as you mentioned in 
your document too - but I also had to get CVS HEAD of core.runtime as a 
new method getNamespace() seems to have been introduced to the 
IConfigurationElement interface, which isn't in M3. Just thought I'd let 
you know in case you wanted to update your document)
