Hi Grant,
Thank you for responding to my question
and I apologize for the half baked question.
What I mean "by size " is
, by number of chars. Going by pixel by pixel, the size of the component
varies by OS. So I want to make it simple by setting the number of characters.
And when I say pack() to text box, it
should always pack either to the custom size or the length of the string
assigned to it which ever is greater.
In the other words I can say that its
a minimum displayable size of the component(Text Box).
I think I have explained it correctly.

Hi Subbu,
SWT usage questions like this should be asked on the eclipse.platform.swt
newsgroup.
I'm not sure what you mean by a custom Text size, so when you post your
question there please clarify it a bit. By "size" do you
just mean the widget's size in pixels?
Your Ant question is not related to swt, so you should ask it on the eclipse.platform
newsgroup.
