[platform-swt-dev] Inheritance and SWT

Hi,

due to great experiences with eclipse, i am currently evaluating SWT 
for use
in future projects. It seem's very interesting to me. But there is one 
fact
that I am a bit astonished at.

Why is it impossible resp. only possible from within swt implementation 
to
extend classes like Text or Button. Could anyone explain the reasons 
for these
restrictions?
