[platform-doc-dev] RE: platform-doc-dev digest, Vol 1 #55 - 3 msgs
|
Greetings,
I'm writing Eclipse Help for our company's suite of commercial
applications. My HTML tool solution is not lightweight, but here it is:
I bought a DTD/structured app for FrameMaker from www.scriptorium.com.
With some modifications to the files, I am doing the following:
1. Writing in FrameMaker SGML
2. Saving as XML
3. Processing XML with XSL to produce HTML (and .css) and Eclipse
toc.xml files, as well as the contexts.xml file, complete with the
<topic id> and <topic label> links.
Thanks,
Wendy Beren

Hi all. I've worked on eclipse platform doc in the past and am about to
start working on it again. It's been over a year since I've worked on
eclipse doc.
Before I get started again, I thought I'd poll to see what HTML editors
are popular with those who are writing plug-in documentation. There
were
some recommendations (HomeSite and UltraEdit) made in the archives some
time ago, but I thought I'd check to see what's happening now.
I used (ahem...) FrontPage during my last round, only because I had used
it for several years and it was expedient. I'm ready for something
better, preferably lightweight (launches fast from Eclipse)...
