Interesting that you choose the Doc mailing list to ask this question. Am I to assume that you already read the doc on the subject;-)

You can check out a version by expanding the Versions category in the Repositories view and then the project you want to check out. This will show you a list of all the known versions of the project. If you don't see any, you will need to perform a Configure Branches and Versions on the project to retrieve the tags from the server.

In the future, you should ask questions like this on the news eclipse-platform news group.
