Dear Sravan,

 

I would say buck stopped with you in Eclipse Platform Releng. All these years you have provided exemplary leadership behaviour and ownership. Given your breadth and depth of knowledge, and the willingness to always put Eclipse-first, it has been my privilege to work with you. And I still owe you for all the frantic weekend calls and the immediate response for any Eclipse issue.

 

I sincerely wish you had stayed on as the platform leader. However, I know that you have gone beyond the expectations of everyone by continuously guiding the team all these years even after moving out of the team. Although you are leaving  formal title of “Leader”, I am sure that we will continue to “bug” you now and then.

 

Requesting you to stay on as a committer [and maybe we can harp on chances of you taking up the platform leadership role again sometime].

 

It has been a privilege to have you as the Project Lead in the eclipse team. And relieved to know that you still will be at an arm’s length for us to catch you. All the best for the current and future responsibilities.
