Re: [photran] Synchronizing projects and SSH keys

Dear All,

How to debug multi-process programs using either MPI or HD5?

Best regards,

Yehuda

Hi Gianluca,

There are numerous requests[0] for updates to new ssh - but the RSE component of Eclipse[1] has not had any active developers in many years[2] and only a few commits[3]. Parts of what may need updates have moved to the CDT project too[4], so it may be need updates too.

If you want to join or support the effort to fix up these issues I recommend you look to contribute, or fund contributions to the project.

Jonah

Dear all,

Synchronizing projects and remote building is a useful feature of PTP. Since recently, I am not able anymore to synchronize to some servers, even though standard ssh login in a terminal outside Eclipse works.

As far as I understand, there is some Eclipse plugin managing SSH authentication that has not been updated to work with more recent cryptography.

Does any of you know whether the Remote connections component will be updated in the near future? Or, if there is any way to debug more the issue? Using -debug when launching Eclipse does not include any more information other than a "Auth fail" message.

Thank you,

Best,

Gianluca Bertaina

PS: I am using Eclipse 2023-09, since this is the last version of Eclipse which includes Photran and PTP
