[photran] photran-3.1-beta2 problems under SLES9 AMD64

Hi,

I just started to have a look at photran and installed it
on a Opteron system running SLES 9 SP3 for AMD64.
I just started the prog and ...
well it is starting, but I see no character! Only little
quadrats are shown (1 per character).

The rest is running fine. I can start the gui and do evrything,
but evrywhere the text is replaced with quadrats...

I get no error message or any other hint which font is missing.

What can I do to use a different font ?
