[photran-dev] Fwd: Anonymous CVS synchronization

Earlier today, Rui and Esfar were seeing different code in CVS than I was... in particular, they couldn't see a commit I made early last night.

Here is the reply from Denis, the Eclipse Webmaster.  Anonymous CVS is synchronized from the write-accessible repository when a commit is made, but apparently it occasionally "misses" some things when their servers get busy (like, during the Helios release today).  FYI.

Hi Jeff,

Normally it's synced instantly by using the commit hooks, but sometimes it slips through the cracks.  Since today was the Helios launch, our servers have beena bit busier.

A complete sync is occurring now and should complete shortly.

Sorry to bug you about this on Helios day. :-) I committed a file

don't see it in anonymous CVS. I thought the synchronization delay
was something like 5 or 10 minutes... is it longer than that? I can't
find the message where you described this originally... sorry. I
wasn't sure if something's wrong or if this is to be expected. Thanks
for your help!
