[photran-dev] Re: Intel Fortran compiler integration for Photran

Bill,

Thanks for the patch. I just committed it. I hope I am not stepping on Craig's toes here.

I was debating whether or not we want the Intel stuff in separate plug-ins, but since you all are going to maintain it, it only makes sense. (Maybe you'll start a trend... even if every Fortran compiler vendor gets three Photran plug-ins, that would probably still be less than a hundred plug-ins, so I'm not worried. :)

Thanks again, and let us know what else we can do to help. Is anyone at Intel a Photran committer? If not, we should make sure that happens...

Jeff

Hi Craig and Jeff,

Attached to this message is a zip file that contains 3 projects and a patch file that will give you the integration work for the Intel Fortran compiler. The patch file should be applied to the current Photran feature project to add the Intel feature project as an optional, included feature.

Our intent is to give you these projects as a first pass and then continue to maintain, enhance and refine the integration over time. I’ve tested these projects with the current Photran based on CDT head and eclipse 3.2M5. They seem to be working o.k. I’ve successfully created executables, archive libraries, and shared object libraries.

If you have any questions or problems just let me know and I’ll be happy to help out.

Thanks,

Bill
