Re: [pde-dev] Merging PDE sub-projects

I'm fine with my PDE Incubator commit rights being expired. These are likely the only commit rights I have on the Eclipse project itself (the other ones are on RT), so I'll need to make sure that my rights to the platform documentation are not affected (this is where p2 docs go).

Cheers,
Ian

The Eclipse project PMC has done a review of our sub-projects, and found a few sub-projects that don't have enough active committers to continue operating as independent projects. We are in the process of merging some projects together to ensure each project has a large enough pool of active participants. You can find all the background discussion in this bug:

For this mailing list, the area of interest is the following change:

Collapsing all PDE sub-projects (eclipse.pde.incubator, eclipse.pde.ui, eclipse.pde.build) into a single PDE project (eclipse.pde).

As a result of this merge, the following active committers will be nominated for eclipse.pde commit rights: oliviert, mrennie,  johna, prapicau

The following inactive committers will lose commit rights when the PDE sub-projects cease to exist: dj, jpospycha, irbull, kmoir

If you are listed as inactive but are interested in staying active as a PDE committer, please speak up here and we will ensure your commit rights carry over.

Thanks,
John
