Well, seeing that the bug guidelines explicitly suggest that the contributor who fixed the bug can verify it if (s)he was the originator, then perhaps I shall do that.
It’s a good chance to put the product build through its paces, anyways, before the release.

only put the Bugzilla into verified state, but did not take the the
closed state, since I was not the reporter/originator of those
Bugzillas, and I felt that it was better to let the
reporter/originator to decide that it could be closed. This is how

Guidelines.
