[papyrus-ic] DSM-TP 8th international summer school

===== Call for Participation =====

8th Summer School on Domain Specific Modelling Theory and Practice
(DSM-TP)
10-14 July 2017 at the University of Montreal, Canada
http://www.dsm-tp.org

DSM-TP is the perfect event to attend if you want to learn about
foundations and best practices of domain modeling, domain-specific
languages, model transformation, model verification, and industrial use
cases of model-based systems engineering.

Bolstered by the level of excellence of their respective teams, with 8
Phds and 30 Masters, ERTMS Solutions, Raincode Labs and Odase are glad to
sponsor the 8th edition of DSM-TP.

IMPORTANT DATES
===============
Early registration deadline: 10 April 2017
Late registration deadline: 10 June 2017
Poster submission deadline: 10 June 2017

RATIONALE
===============
The complexity of today's problems that software systems try to solve is
ever increasing. Domain Specific Modeling addresses these issues by
working at different levels of abstractions and automating the process to
provide implementations of the solution that are tailored to the problem
domain.

FORMAT
===============
DSM-TP is aimed at researchers, teachers, practitioners, and students
(typically PhD. level) who intend to study or work with Domain Specific
Modeling. The purpose is to learn about foundations as well as best
practices in an open and stimulating environment. There will be ample
opportunities to discuss with other participants and with the speakers.
These speakers are experienced and active professionals, leaders in their
field, whose academic and industrial background covers the broad range of
topics of the school. The school offers a 5-day intensive training with a
balanced blend of theory and hands-on practice.

TOPICS COVERED
===============
* Domain modeling,
* Variability and product families
* Domain-specific language (DSL) engineering, graphical and textual
modeling languages
* Model transformation, rule-based, incremental
* Code generation, template-based, synthesis of software applications
* Formal verification of models, model checking
* Modeling the semantics of DSLs
* Evaluation of the usability of DSLs
* Advanced topics and industrial applications

VENUE
===============
The summer school will take place on the main campus of the University of
Montreal, in the heart of the city on top of the Mount Royal offering
spectacular 360 view of this vibrant city. Montreal is now the hub for
software engineering and software modeling in North America. It is home to
seven universities and affiliated schools, and to an ever-growing software
industry, from start-ups to globally established companies.

Hope to see you in Montreal soon!
