The "Eclipse IDE view" is under the Java client for 1.0. I also added the ability to build the Java and C clients from within the Eclipse IDE, as at the moment we have focussed, rightly, on getting the automated Hudson build and tests working.
By sample apps, do you mean GUI "exercisers" for the APIs?
