Re: [paho-dev] HIPP and Gerrit

I'm happy to move to Gerrit if everyone understands how the workflow operates.

+1 on Gerrit. Not so much for ease of use as for clarity. Correct me if I'm using the wrong process, but right now it seems to be submit a patch via a bug entry or mailing list and then have the maintainer merge. Seems like we should be able to maintain a better history.

Eclipse are now offering a Hudson instance per project (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=403843) and I was thinking that it might be useful for us to take advantage of it to be able to create, destroy, change our own build jobs as well as adding configuration/plugins as we need them. Thoughts?

Additionally I wanted to start a discussion on using Gerrit, it looks like an easier way for people who aren't committers to submit fixes, easier for committers to accept and integrate fixes and allows non committers to work in a way that is more inclusive and in line with how they might normally develop (being able to effectively interact directly with the SCM).
