Re: [p2-dev] p2 features

I believe it is there for purely legacy reasons. These features were created when we first started moving the builds to using p2 and it was done in stages so we created some temp features (to build the agent and director, for instance) that was used as a step in the build process.

Since the process is more refined and defined now, we can probably look at moving real features to the appropriate location in the repository. I have opened https://bugs.eclipse.org/334656.

[p2-dev] p2 features

I was looking at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=333810 and finally found the p2.user.ui feature hidden in the p2.releng project under "buildtime-features" with a mess of other p2 related features. Given that we have a "features" directory in the main p2 repo, why are these features hidden off under there? What does it mean to be a "buildtime feature"?

Can we clean this up some and move all the features together?

Jeff
