Thank you for adding the new option, Pascal. Will try it.
For the CD image, I prefer a installer which allows the user to choose which feature to install and where to install.

The eclipse helios repository contains a large number of components in in the form of an update site. You can use the p2.mirroring application to copy down what you need. This should be the easiest.
For the removal of the installation history, I've just released (10 min ago) a -purgeHistory option to the director application.
What do you want to put on your install CD? An installer or a running application?
