Hi,
Thomas Hallgren and I have now completed the "OmniVersion"  
implementation and  JUnit test suite. This is an implementation of the  
p2 Version and VersionRange classes that is capable of handling non- 
osgi type versioning schemes. The description of the new features are  
found on the wiki at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Equinox/p2/Proposals/Version_Type_Proposal
