As discussed in the OSGi Specification Project and the OSGi WG Steering Committee, the OSGi Specification Project Team desires to re-release OSGi Core R8 under
the Eclipse Foundation Specification Process. This will enable future service releases should they prove necessary.
The first step in this process is to the OSGi Core R8 Release Plan. You can review it at the following URL:

After your review, your vote is required to approve the Release Plan.
Per the Eclipse Foundation Specification Process, this will be a seven day ballot, ending on Fri Jun 18, 2021. We require a super-majority positive vote of the Specification Committee
representatives.
While only Specification Committee representatives votes will be binding, all are welcome and encouraged to participate.
