Dear all, this email brings a quick roundup of some enhancements of OSBP / OS.bee. We won’t do long explanations here, please just click on the links and see for yourself how it is done. The links will direct you to the forum of OS.bee, which is our professional version of OSBP. This is the forum where our core developers at Compex will answer your questions. Being there will give you more intimate insights into the project, and if you choose to register, you can ask questions and debate posts. Here is a list of recent enhancements: 1. Wondering how to organize your database? OSBP will manage the data model for you. You can address your data as if it was stored in a star-type model (i.e. for analytical OLAP address) and in a snowflake-type model (i.e. for UI purposes) in the same project. 2. There is a new shortcut to viewing results when changing perspectives. It facilitates the UI modeling even further. 3. There is a DSL called Function Library. It offers a wide range of possibilities to programmers or people with basic programming knowledge. We show you how to easily create a function plus a button in a perspective’s toolbar that enables the user to execute the function. 4. You can generate dialogs automatically while defining your entity model. And you can filter which entity references are made available where in the user interface. 5. Find out how to make events in UI components trigger actions by the state machine. There will be more news soon about OSBP and its potentials and the growing interest in the Eclipse community. At this point, however, we shall strictly stick to the programming news.
