Re: [orion-dev] Accessibility?

Hi, Kevin!  There are many who know more about this topic than me, but I can point you to some bugs that show the work that is going on and has been going on.  Much of it happened during our 0.4 release, so that might be one reason you haven't heard about it lately.  Our intention is to wrap up any remaining issues (and retest since some things have changed) for 1.0.

We have an accessibility tracking bug for all of Orion here (with pointers to individual bugs, both fixed and open).
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=365361

Many of these are about non-editor parts of Orion's UI, but there are editor bugs scattered among there.
Silenio could comment further about specific things done in the editor.

Hi,

I'm interested to know if there has been any work done on accessibility for Orion's editor. It's a difficult thing to get right, but the promise of a good accessibility story is also one of the primary reasons Firefox is using the Orion editor. I don't think I've seen a11y mentioned in release announcements, so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks,
Kevin
