The orion editor doesn't support .json
file extension. When the file extension isn't recognized by the editor,
we fall back to just doing a GET of the file contents and let the browser
display it. That blank screen is the browser happily displaying your new
json file. That default behaviour is slightly more useful for non-empty
files ;)

If you create a file manifest.json, then edit it you get
a blank screen.
