Our documentation is coming along nicely,
but I'm looking for volunteers to help work on two areas in particular:
1) Update the "Getting started"
guide. This is mostly reading through to make sure all the content is correct,
and updating screen shots with the new look.
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=349946
2) Describing the services / extension
points for customizing the editor. I think this is an area we will see
lots of people tinkering with Orion as they try out support for other languages,
so some solid documentation here would be very valuable:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=349948
Please assign the bug to yourself if
you can work on it.
Finally, I just wanted to note a problem
I figured out this morning. Mediawiki is not case-sensitive for the *first
character* of a page or image name. This comes up in particular with images,
so if you have [[Image:orion-blort.png]], but the file name is Orion-blort.png,
then it looks fine in the wiki, and will also look fine running Orion server
on Windows. However when you deploy Orion server on Linux, the links are
case-sensitive, and the image will be broken. This is why many images are
broken currently on http://orion.eclipse.org/help/index.jsp.
So, when doing screen shots make sure the link in the wiki matches the
case of the file name.
