According to the foundation database, "asingh" should work. There
is, AFAICT, no asingh32j in our committer database.

From that I can see,
your "id"

what Eclipse
Foundation told your id is? (It is possible, you've not been
"added"
to the tools.orbit group, yet?)
If there's some confusion about
this,
I suspect a note to webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxx would clear it up.

FW: Help needed to connect to CVS
Sent by:
orbit-dev-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi All,
I am trying to add the Olingo
bundle
into Orbit CVS repository. I am following the steps as mentioned
at:
https://wiki.eclipse.org/Orbit/Adding_Bundles_to_Orbit
In the step for, ‘Creating a new
project
for an Orbit bundle’, I get a connection reset error as shown
below:
Could not connect
to :extssh:asingh32j@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/tools:CVS
communication error:
Or.eclipse.team.internal.ccvs.ssh2.CVSSSH2ServerConnection$SSH2IOException”Connection
reset
I have used CVS repository as
:extssh:<yourCommitterId>@dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/tools
I have used credentials as: My
committer
id and password
Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Best Regards,
Ashish

Dear all,
I am a committer on tools.orbit
project.
Could you please let me know how do I get the credentials to CVS
repository.
I need to check in Olingo ( http://olingo.apache.org/doc/odata2/download.html
) libraries to orbit.
Thanks
Ashish

I would put it in CVS. I know
someone
was thinking/working on a prototype of how to do it from Git,
but I don't
believe is ready yet.
Hope that helps.
In future, it is best to ask this
sort
of question to "orbit-dev" list.
Thanks,

Your credentials are simply your
commiter
id and password.
The CVS repository itself is at
:extssh:<yourCommitterId>@dev.eclipse.org:/cvsroot/tools
More "how to" information
is on the wiki:
https://wiki.eclipse.org/Category:Orbit
In particular:
https://wiki.eclipse.org/Orbit/Adding_Bundles_to_Orbit
I'll emphasize one of the first
steps
is to open a CQ to "add to Orbit"
your already approved bundle,
that "piggy
backs" the CQ you opened for
your project.
There's a special "CQ Menu"
path for that, on the Foundation Portal see
[add] an approved third-party
library
to Orbit
Good luck, and thanks.
