Thanks for the hint. I didn’t think that should make difference, but I cannot think of something else either, and it won’t hurt to try this. I’m just doing it.

Subject: Re: [orbit-dev] [ORBIT-BUILD: orbit-I] orbit-I Build Failed
Ok, I guess my 'bin' directory was some false Navigator artifact created in my workspace as a result of it originally being a "java project" ... I deleted everything, checked out again, and now no longer see the bin directory.
I wonder if it would help the build/checkout to explicitly list the field names, as other pre-builts have?
comparing felix.gogo map entry
plugin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.runtime,0.6.1=v201101130818,:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/tools,path=org.eclipse.orbit/org.apache.felix.gogo.runtime,prebuilt=true
with icu map entry
plugin@xxxxxxxxxxx,4.2.1=CVS,tag=v4_2_1_v20100413,cvsRoot=:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/tools,path=org.eclipse.orbit/com.ibm.icu/bin,prebuilt=true
implies
plugin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.runtime,0.6.1=CVS,tag=v201101130818,cvsRoot=:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/tools,path=org.eclipse.orbit/org.apache.felix.gogo.runtime,prebuilt=true
It doesn't seem this should be necessary ... but ... I do not see anything else right off ... and maybe "pre-builts" are handled in such a way that requires it?

Thanks very much for the helpful info! I checked the directory.txt and the versions seem to be ok.
As for the bin directory – I didn’t add such a directory. The bundle jar is in the root directory of the project – just as in project com.jcraft.jsch, version 0.1.31, where the case is similar to the gogo case – it packs a ready-to-use bundle. Just as on the screenshot I sent in the previous mail. At least this is what I see. I checked it from the web interface, but it is the same there.

Subject: Re: [orbit-dev] [ORBIT-BUILD: orbit-I] orbit-I Build Failed
The build always uses the HEAD version of the map files .... to actually see what was snagged and used during a build, there is a link on the download page,
which is "directory.txt" on the file system.

If a a build doesn't get far enough along to produce a download page then a) I should improve the build scripts :) but more important b)
there are ways of "drilling down" on the directories on the build machine with a web browser. You can start at
http://build.eclipse.org/orbit/
and from there you sort of have to know what you are looking for ...
http://build.eclipse.org/orbit/projects/
is the directory of actively being built working area, either in progress, or just finished
http://build.eclipse.org/orbit/projects/orbit-I/
orbit-I is the "project" we are looking for
http://build.eclipse.org/orbit/projects/orbit-I/workdir/
workdir is where most of the interesting stuff is
which is where you will find 'directory.txt'.
http://build.eclipse.org/orbit/projects/orbit-I/workdir/directory.txt
I didn't look in detail, but did notice you added a "bin" directory in gogo project, that has not been reflected in map file
path=org.eclipse.orbit/org.apache.felix.gogo.runtime
should now be
path=org.eclipse.orbit/org.apache.felix.gogo.runtime/bin
if I'm looking at it correctly.

According to the build output, the problem is that the build cannot find the gogo plugin:
“/opt/public/orbit/basebuilders/R36_RC4/org.eclipse.releng.basebuilder/plugins/org.eclipse.pde.build_3.6.0.v20100603/scripts/genericTargets.xml:107: Processing inclusion from feature org.eclipse.orbit.build.feature.set1: Unable to find plug-in: org.apache.felix.gogo.runtime_0.6.1“
In the maps file I have used the same version tag as in the bundle in the cvs repository:
plugin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.runtime,0.6.1=v201101130818,:pserver:anonymous@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:/cvsroot/tools,path=org.eclipse.orbit/org.apache.felix.gogo.runtime,prebuilt=true

Probably the build uses another version of the maps file? How can I find what version of the maps file does the build use?
Thanks,
Lazar
