RE: [orbit-dev] Contributing org.apache.derby 10.1.2.1

Jeff

I was about/going to update the bug.

We would prefer to stay with 10.1.2.1.  Which has been approved.

I updated
        https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1469
and added Jim to the CC list.

In short, is adding the latest version pragmatic at this point in the release cycle?

Chris

As far as I know only Derby 10.1.2.1 was been approved.

If we can go with the latest release I am OK with that.

I'll do it, btw, is there any reason we aren't going with the latest release?

I don't know of anyone. Not sure there are any Corona folks in the Orbit committer pool right now (not that that actually matters but its often easier for arm twisting :-)

Shall we say that unless someone shows up in a couple days to do this we'll put you forward as a committer and the maintainer of Derby?

Jeff

A) IP Clearance
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1187
B) I am a committer on the Corona Project.

C) Do you know of anyone? If not I am willing to commit the Derby code.

Thanks

Jim Wright

Doesn't look like anyone has contributed Derby so far. Assuming
a) you have full and complete IP clearance from the Foundation

b) your are already a committer on some project

c) you are signing up to maintain the bundle over time

then we can request that you be added as a committer on Orbit and you can add the bundle. Alternatively, you can find someone else who is already an Orbit committer and is willing to do c) and get them to commit the bundle for you.

I work on the Corona project and have created a Derby bundle for version 10.1.2.1

Has anyone contributed a Derby bundle?

If not what are the steps required to contribute this bundle.

Thanks
Jim Wright
