Re: [orbit-dev] promoting orbit stable build?

Hi, David,

I'll hold off on adding the PDF Transcoder (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=179501) until after you've promoted the stable build, so we can be confident that it's reasonably stable  :-)

Cheers,

Christian

What Hubert wants, Hubert gets!

I've promoted I200703261521 to our 'downloads' area ... as a weekly I-build, if nothing else.

I see little harm in promoting this to a Stable build (via renaming, changing 'I' to 'S') if there are no objections.
And, to follow the best process, Hubert, you should document here what critical bug fix this new
build contains that you need for M6. I think you mentioned it was one of the Batik ones ... but I'm not sure
which, and I'm suggesting this just for completeness. I think that's the only process we need.
No one should have to change to this new S build, unless they want to pick up one of the fixes.
(And, I'll add ... I've started on some axis work, which is not really recommended yet, since no one
has looked at it ... definitely use at your own risk ... so, hope that's not confusing).

I'll look at renaming/promting that I-build to an S-build on Tuesday, unless someone knows
of a reason not to.

Thanks,

[orbit-dev] promoting orbit stable build?

I see the latest stable build on orbit build site is S200703161546.  I know there were some builds done last week, including some changes in the batik bundles.  I also see some builds done today.  TPTP is now using a newer build than the latest stable build.  I suspect some projects are doing the same thing.  Are there plans to promote a newer orbit build for Europa M6?  If so, which one?  Or can we tolerate duplicated bundles on the Europa update site for M6?
