please find below the meeting minutes from today’s meeting:

Project Plan for Release

Eric and Edgar agreed that a native Qt dark mode implementation should be part of the next release, as it represents an important bug fix for some users. Documentation should also be a focus for a major release at least, including a review and update of the existing documentation files. The User Guide PDF should be removed from the codebase. In addition, API stability should be ensured before a major release.
Edgar still needs to create the first draft of the release plan. The current idea is to prepare a plan for a minor release, primarily focusing on the implementation of Qt dark mode. The first major release should focus mainly on documentation, especially the User Guide.
A minor release should be made available still in the first semester of 2026. The major release is currently planned for the second semester of 2026.

OpenXilEnv Logo

Edgar presented two AI‑generated logo ideas (see #46). Edgar and Eric agreed that it would be nice to have more people in the decision‑making process.

Adding OpenXilEnv to FMI Tools page

It is currently unclear to Edgar and Eric which “vendor” should be used for OpenXilEnv in the FMI JSON file. Edgar has forwarded this question to @chrbertsch.

Open Discussion

Eric and Edgar briefly discussed layered standards for network communication in an FMI context. This topic should be analyzed and may result in work packages for future implementations.


Due to public holidays in Germany, the meeting scheduled for 27 May 2026 will be canceled.
