You can use openPASS on regular office hardware. The master / slave architecture allows for multi-threading.
Yes, it has been tested on Linux. I guess we should include build instructions for Linux when we update / amend the documentation.

Hello,
For an upcoming project, we'd like to use OpenPASS as a (co-)simulation platform for real-world traffic scenarios.
Are there any system/hardware requirements or recommendations when using OpenPASS (e.g. GPU, RAM, disc space)?
Most of the build instructions I found in the sim@openpass GIT repository refer to a windows 7 machine. Has OpenPASS also been tested on Linux?
