Dear Community,
I'm happy to announce that the first official meeting of the Steering Committee was held on May 26, 2025. Please find the approved meeting minutes attached. Furthermore, the Steering Committee approved the OpenHW Charter on June 6th, and Version 1.0 will be published soon. These initial steps marked a foundational milestone for our future collaboration.
With a defined direction, the Steering Committee is now moving forward to finalize the 2025 Program Plan, which will outline OpenHW's strategic goals and objectives for the rest of this year.
We are pleased to share that Fabian Clermidy from CEA has accepted the position of Steering Committee Chair. We extend our sincere gratitude to Fabian for taking on this additional responsibility.
We also warmly welcome Thea Aldrich to our team as the new Senior Product Marketing Manager for Eclipse Foundation Embedded, IoT, and OpenHW. Thea's extensive experience in open source and embedded systems, including her previous roles with the Zephyr Project and RISC-V International, makes her a valuable addition. We are excited about the significant impact she will have, especially in advancing initiatives for the OpenHW Foundation!
