Hi Andreas, it sounds an interesting topics.
It looks as though some results of a H2020 project we are participating, the Decode project (https://www.decoder-project.eu/).
Some results of this project might be usable in a docs-as-code setting. Basically, the project introduced a document-oriented database to store various artefacts related to a software project, from informal documentation to code and formal specifications.
The overall goal is to allow stakeholders to retrieve all relevant information at any point in the project's lifecycle, notably through the use of NLP tools to build correspondences between the artefacts.

Currently, we are thinking about open sourcing a customizable and lightweight development framework supporting process requirements from ASPICE, ISO26262. (e.g. traceability)
