Re: [open-regulatory-compliance] ORC response to EC Consultation on draft AI Act transparency guidelines

Their website is currently offline, But i've reviewed the doc and don't have that much in the way of comments.

The only comment I would raise is on the feasibility of requiring Open Source models to implement marking, however I believe the status quo of the requirement only applying when models are placed on the market should be enough to address that issue.

The EC's consultation on the AI Act's draft transparency guidelines is open until 3 June:

The timeline is tight, so we won't be able to set up a dedicated ORC call, but we will follow the same process used for the CRA guidance package:

Our timeline is:

Step 1: GitHub issue createdStep 2: Deadline for first set of contributions - Sunday 24th (6 pm Brussels time)Step 3: consolidated draft to the community - deadline Tuesday 26th by noonStep 4: final draft for SC to approve - deadline Thursday 28 MayStep 5: Submission - Wednesday 3 June

If there is insufficient input, or complete disagreement, we may not get this submission ready for the deadline.If that happens, we hope the discussions will still be useful for individual submissions.
