Dear ORC community,
As you’ve probably heard, Olle E Johansson will be hosting a training session at OCX.
The workshop “Are you ready for the CRA? Learn how the EU regulation will affect open source” is the first in a series of training sessions designed to support the open source community in navigating the Cyber Resilience Act. This session will cover essential cybersecurity requirements, conformity assessments, CE marking, technical documentation obligations, vulnerability handling processes, coordinated disclosure, and the role of Software Bills of Materials (SBOMs).
This session is particularly valuable for those looking to build or strengthen their practical understanding of how the CRA applies to open source projects. It may be especially useful for project maintainers, contributors, and those following the CRA’s evolution who want a structured overview of key requirements and their implications. For those already deeply engaged in CRA policy or implementation work, this session may serve more as a refresher, with more advanced topics to be covered in future sessions.
Open source software projects, maintainers, and foundations are invited to join the workshop on Tuesday, 21 April, from 14:00 to 15:30, while commercial manufacturers are invited to attend the dedicated session on Wednesday, 22 April, from 14:00 to 15:30.
To recognise your involvement in the ORC community, I’m pleased to remind you of the code ORC20 for an additional 20% discount on registration.
We look forward to seeing you in Brussels.
