Re: [open-regulatory-compliance] Discussion on the EU AI Act

Hi Dave,

thanks a lot for the message, this is indeed a great point. We do not have any formal work on the AI Act yet, but since this topic has been around for a while I propose the following steps:
1- Introduce it during our next SIG call, 5-10 min presentation.
2- collect interested parties and organise ad-hoc call to address this topic.
3- based on the outcomes decide next steps.

Would you be available next Monday 16.00 CEST - 14.00 UTC?

To other people interested in the topic, do not miss the opportunity to comment in this email thread!

Thanks once again!
Juan

Hello ORC Community,

Up until now the majority of the conversations I have seen in this working group have been related to CRA, for obvious reasons... And while I do not wish to distract from the ongoing CRA efforts, I was wondering if there had been any discussion around the EU AI Act, and the current work on the harmonized standards? If so, could someone kindly point me toward any related resources? If not, is this something that would make sense adding to the agenda of an upcoming meeting?

I believe there is value in ORC engaging with the working group responsible for creating these standards for the same reasons as the CRA.

Thanks,
Dave
