Dear ORC WG community,
After a year of operation, it is time to contemplate all the good work that has been done, especially with Tobie Langel who has been instrumental in supporting us to bootstrap the ORC WG as we were staffing up the working group with in-house leadership.
With this email, we want to clarify roles and responsibilities moving forward.
Juan Rico will continue as ORC WG Program Manager and will take responsibility for technical coordination, including liaison with the ESOs.
Ciarán O’Riordan will take full responsibility for the CRA Expert Group coordination. Since joining the Eclipse Foundation in June, Ciarán is now well up to speed on the multiple issues to be addressed on the open source community’s behalf in the expert group work.
Shanda Giacomoni will continue in her role as Marketing Manager, supporting the community in all the communication, outreach and events-related activities.
Tobie Langel will focus on delivering key priorities, the CRA FAQ, formalizing ORC’s governance and work modes, and the Resources Inventory, through his consultancy, UnlockOpen, with continued funding from the Eclipse Foundation.
Finally, we are also engaging with Aeva Black through her consultancy, NullPoint Studio, to bring her expertise on security voluntary attestations and vulnerability handling to the mix. More to come about it soon on the mailing list.
