## Oniro PMC meeting 2022wk26

* Date: 2022-06-30
* Time: 15:00 to 16:00 CEST
* Channel: zoom
* Chair: Amit Kucheria
* Minutes taker: Ettore Chimenti

### Agenda
- IP review update from Eclipse, if any
- Priorities for Eclipse IT to prepare for a release in December
- Adding more committers because of limitations of permission systems @ Eclipse
- Container image registry

### Participants

PMC Members:

All present

Eclipse Foundation:

* Agustin Benito Bethencourt
* Wayne Beaton

### Minutes

#### IP review update from Eclipse

* The Eclipse Ip Team has to review IP reports for the release approval.
* The Blueprints Project review is done in place as commits are pushed.
* Eclipse IP Due Diligence process is being updated.
* Wayne states that this process will probably end around the end of summer.
* Zyga proposed to use Gitlab Pipelines to scan and validate IP
compliances on dependencies.
Wayne has to investigate.
* Andrei asks if IPDD process will include Alpha and Beta releases.
* Wayne says that Rqmt is the IPDD has to be completed before releasing.
* The Ip team should leverage the method we find comfortable with for
IP compliance.

#### Priorities of IP teams

* Wayne does not consider the IP compliance toolchain migration to EF
infrastructure a blocker.
* Agustin: Rqmt is to Eclipse to do the review, it does not matter the tool.
* Agustin said that they may have to review the sponsorship agreement
with Huawei since they hadn't enough info about the IP process and
review.

#### Images releases

* Discussion about signing keys
* Discussion about having or not images released and if having an EULA
to receive permission from the user.
* Agustin suggests discussing this after the IP Policy process has
been completed and EF is comfortable with that.

#### Committer Elections

* Whoever is not a committer/dev cannot use pipelines when they fork
the project.
* Stefan: Contributors cannot make MR.
* Wayne suggests filling out a bug report for this.

#### Containers

* Postponed for the next meeting.
