Hello all.
As promised during the call here is a my quick list of next steps that we can do to get this cooperation started.
1)
Daniele, Gianluca and Ferruccio create a new user account on
https://booting.oniroproject.org/
2)
We use the following repo as a common base for the zephyr application for now: https://gitlab.eclipse.org/mrfrank/eddie-zephyr
-
Normal gitlab merge requests should work as a basic workflow
-
Keep in mind that this is a temporary location while I am sorting out to make EDDIE a Oniro sub-project and we move hosting EF. (Starting this right
after my vacation)
3)
We seed the initial work from Synesthesia into that repo for the Zephyr application (I assume here that we can license that under Apache 2.0 as the
rest of EDDIE, if not speak up)
-
If needed we can use overlay files or the boards folder to have device specific parts handled while the common code stays generic
4)
On Arduino Nano we would test CoAP over OpenThread/IPv6 and on the other board you would simply use WiFi
5)
The test counterpart can be the client/server code as well as the resource directory code for EDDIE from here:
https://booting.oniroproject.org/antonio.miele/eddie/-/tree/main
That should keep folks busy for a while and we can check how things are going after Easter.
Regards
Stefan Schmidt
