Looks like it was easy to fix.

Jan, did you find out what the cause is or a work around? Builds are now failing with the same error:

fatal: protocol error: bad pack header

 

Looking at the web the commit looks okay http://git.eclipse.org/c/mylyn/org.eclipse.mylyn.reviews.git/commit/?id=eedeafaa60f597c3b603a9384c8a8bbb776d2400 and git fsck seems happy so it seems to be related to the transport.

 

I have filed a bug to get input from the webmasters:

Pushing to https://jlohre@git.eclipse.org/gitroot/mylyn/org.eclipse.mylyn.reviews.git leads to an error both in egit and on the gitbash: “error: unpack failed: unpack-objects abnormal exit”

 

Looks like it is not egit releated, but maybe you have an idea what happened.

I think is has to do with the server problems the foundation is facing. Almost all my builds are failing as there seems to be huge problems with CVS, Git and Hudson access (see also cross projects mailing list).
