That’s great news! I’ll have a look ASAP, I really want to see if
I can get some IoT code to run on the Freescale FRDM-K64F board
      [1].
You can take the latest successful nightly build (#113) from Hudson
for it. Freescale FRDM-K64F is supported platform by MESDK 8.1, so
you can start to play with it right now.
To do it you have to download Early Access # 3 version of Java ME
SDK 8.1 and Java ME Embedded 8.1 for Freescale FRDM-K64F from
    oracle.com.

BTW I would appreciate any pointers to documentation on how
        to setup an ME8.1 SDK

At the moment, please refer to corresponding K64 Getting Started
    Guide
    (http://docs.oracle.com/javame/8.1/get-started-freescale-k64/toc.htm),
it also includes a chapter related to MESDK 8.1 setup.
Complete MESDK 8.1 docs will published later together with final 8.1
    release.

(I think at some point I need to install ME8.1 SDK Eclipse
plugins but they’re not available from Oracle’s website?

MESDK 8.1 Eclipse plugins are not released yet since they require
updated MTJ plugin which became available as nightly build only 1
day ago, when MESDK 8.1 EA #3 was released several weeks ago. So, we
just could not publish them as a part of EA #3 due to absence of MTJ
    ready at that moment.
You have to wait the final MESDK 8.1 release to obtain MESDK
specific Eclipse plugins. It should happen soon.

) or basically anything describing how to write and deploy an
        ME8.1 Hello World.

This steps to do it are the same as for previous MESDK 8.0 release.
You can refer to MESDK 8.0 docs for more information.

      Thanks!

                  ME8 support changes are
                    committed to GIT repo now.
I expect a couple of more commits this week-next
week with bug fixes. After that we can release  MTJ.

At the moment there is a problem with nightly build.
It fails on signing phase. It seems either Eclipse
signing server is down or there is some
misconfiguration of proxies for MTJ build.
Unfortunately, I have only read-only access to
Hudson at the moment and cannot figure out how to
                    resolve it.

Gorkem, Pranav, could you help with this?
Also, could you provide me access for modification
of Hudson configuration (or at least possibility to
run builds manually) and share information how to
                    promote nightly builds?

                    Thanks,
                        Alex.

I think the mtj builds and the update
site is still functional... MTJ web site is MIA,
probably due to the git move
