Re: [mpc-dev] Small changes to the Eclipse Marketplace REST API

I assume there are corresponding changes going into the MPC Client.  So I have two questions:

1. What will happen with old MPC clients (Juno and earlier) when they try to connect to the new Market Place API.
2. What will happen with new MPC clients (Kepler and later) when they try to connect to market place servers that don't provide this API (other market places)?

Cheers,
Ian

Hi All,

I will be making some small changes to the Eclipse Marketplace REST API very soon. I am going to add two properties to help with https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=400127 & https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=323259

Also the favorite property will return the number of favorites instead of 0 or 1.

<installstotal>2885</installstotal>
<installsrecent>372</installsrecent>

This will be added to
the search results, individual listing, featured listing, recently updated listings, top favorited listing, most popular listings and listings from a specific market / category API calls.

If I don't hear from anyone I will make this live on March 4th, 2013.

thanks
