Hi all! This may be a stupid question but I'm a newbie in a lot of things. I'd like to know the difference between using a passwd file and TLS/SSL.

I think passwd is useful to allow only some clients to communicate with the broker and TLS/SSL is to protect the message, but I'm not 100% sure.

I'd also like to know how they affect the efficiency and speed of the communications.
