Re: [modeling-pmc] Declare Eclipse Xpect dysfunctional
|
I would suggest that the project leads consider stepping down as
leads and that inactive committers be removed as normal on-going
practice.

The project leads have engaged.
Never mind.

Greetings Modeling PMC.
I seek your judgement and assistance.
I noticed that
an election,
initiated by Christian (in cc), failed to attract the
attention of any committers. The merit of the nominee
seems good to me.
Based on a quick look at the commit activity, it appears
that Christian is the only project committer who is
currently active on the project (and has been for some
time). AFAICT, the inactive committers have moved on and --
without their participation in the election -- we're at an
impasse.
I privately reached out to the project leads two weeks
ago, but have not received a response.
I believe that the project is dysfunctional. If you
agree, here's what I'd like to do:
- Retire all committers who have been inactive for more
than a year;
- Retire the project leads;
- Appoint Christian's nominee as a committer;
- Appoint Christian as the project lead.
I actually haven't asked Christian if he wants to be
project lead, but am hopeful that he's ready to step up
into the role.
Please signal your agreement by responding with +1.
I defer to your judgement if you have a different
opinion or suggestion on how to proceed.
Thanks,
Wayne
