Unfortunately, I can't take part in the pmc call and graphiti proposal discussion (my isp doesn't think it's important and there is no landline here). Generally, arguments Anthony presented in this list earlier make most sense to me, presence of generative component in the GMF project doesnt impose each and every runtime or product build have to use it, while yet another graphical diagraming project makes whole structure cumbersome, imo.

Wayne,
Yes, I don't recall giving the green light, but I don't see that as a
big problem. We can sort out the categorization issues, i.e., where
does it nest, prior to the final creation review with the live
proposal. After all, why have an open review process if not to evolve
the proposal to best address all the feedback from the community? This
will make a good topic for discussion at the next PMC call on the
19th. I've added it to the agenda on the wiki:

Cheers,

The
proposal can be changed. Once there is consensus, let me know and we'll
update it.
I think that maybe we (EMO) got our wires a bit crossed on this one and
may have posted too early. This is my fault. Since we've already
notified the community, I recommend that we leave the proposal live
while we make the changes.

Hi,
As I recall there was a discussion in this list that this project fits
nicely as another GMF runtime (and not another "graphical modeling"
project). I didn't notice any change in the proposal to reflect that,
and didn't see any discussion why it's not feasible/reasonable. Did I
miss anything?
