I am guilty of these nominations, sorry :-(.
You have a very good point here, and I will do my best to remember it.
Unfortunately, neither the newsgroup search tool, nor the bugzilla
search tool allow "as on <date>" queries, which are quite useful in
other tools like CVS ;-).
(Bugzilla has something close to this, but not quite the same.)
