Re: [microprofile-wg] [Straw Poll] MicroProfile->Jakarta overall direction

Red Hat: -1

It’s too blanket of a statement/question. I am finding too many concessions within MicroProfile, like the namespace change. In support of Tomitribe’s past points on MicroProfile benefits, I also think there are a lot of cultural benefits within MicroProfile that would benefit Jakarta that we haven’t even gotten to (like transparency and open meetings). “We’ll figure it out after the move” means nothing will happen, IMHO.

I understand that there is a rush to get this done for Jakarta EE 12, but within MicroProfile I have a MIcroProfilehat on.

Please respond with +1 (positive), 0 (abstain), or -1 (reject).  Any feedback that you can provide to support your vote will be appreciated.  Please respond by June 4th, 2025.
