Past meeting minutes approval	Approved via microprofile-wg email thread.
Business since last Steering Committee Meeting	2024 Budget ballot did not pass
Current Items	(Sharon/Paul/Thabang) Eclipse Foundation 2024 Budget  Updated budget proposal sent to Steering Committee email alias. Event support (community day) reduced  from $10,000 to $2500. Motion to approve the revised 2024 budget as presented via email on Dec. 5th and again today in meeting. "Resolved, the Steering Committee approves the revised 2024 budget acknowledging that it aligns with the available revenue in support of the program plan." Ballot email sent to microprofile-wg email alias with above text and attached the budget. Based on voting during the call, the Ballot will pass. (Reza) Tutorial contract finalization Need to finalize by end of year, ideally ASAP for Tarun to begin working. Clark followed up and Paul committed to working on it ASAP. Reza will continue to track. (Reza) DevNexus Sponsorship Consensus is to move forward. Foundation will be responsible for paperwork, materials and logistics. Clark is already engaged. Working group to help formulate any material and staff booth. Will likely entail further funding for swag, etc. Budget decisions to be made later. Actual sponsorship is free so no budget decision. Thanks Vincent/AJUG. ----- The following is "Live Hangout" discussion (Emily / BJ Hargrave) Semantic Versioning If updating a dependency, does this require a major version? BJ: Depends if this forces an API change. API change = Major. If it is an implementation detail, then not a major change (minor or service release) If upgrading Java version (e.g. from Java 8 to 21), does this require a major version release? Will continue the conversation in 2024.
